Google search console reports removes anonymous queries There has been huge drops in the Google Search Console reports when using the query filter starting after August. The search giants posted on their data anomalies page that they have removed what they call “anonymous query.” They said that, now they are omitting anonymous query data because the queries from results are to protect user privacy.

Google Ads overview cards lets you make ad modifications – The Google Ads lets advertisers make a few modifications to their ads directly from the overview page cards. They announced on social media that you can now implement some of those changes directly from the Overview page itself.

Some of the changes you can make from these overview cards include:

  • Pause or unpause campaigns, ad groups and keywords
  • Edit campaign budgets
  • Edit keyword and ad group bids
  • Edit ad copy

Google launches structured data codelab – Google has launched their structured data codelab that allows you to walk through a step-by-step process to make your own structured data for your website. The structured data codelab walks you through adding several types of structured data to a simple HTML site, this also includes where to place structured data on a site and how to validate it.

Google releases Google My Business API v4.2 – The search giants has released a new version of the Google My Business API. The new version adds a nice set of features that include the following;

  • Verification APIs – List and trigger available verification methods for unverified locations
  • GoogleLocations API – Search for existing locations on Google to claim, or retrieve a link to request access claimed locations.
  • Expanded Location Filters – Additional options for limiting the results returned from a Locations.List call.
  • Chain Membership – Indicate membership of a location as part of a chain
  • Organization Information – Information for Organization Accounts will now display as part of Account objects
  • Product Posts – A new Local Post type, containing product related content
  • Reviewer Profile Photo – URLs for profile photos of reviewers are now included in the review object.

Google Assistant Supports Multilingual Responses – Google Assistant and Google Home can now support questions where you mix your responses between English and another language. So if you are asking a question in one language and then following up with another question in a different language it will still answer the question.
