Google shows more product rich results for pages without structured data – Back in December, it seems like Google started showing more product rich results in the search results for many snippets even if those pages did not have product structured data on them. There have been images shared on social media and chatter around the subject.

Google Ads tests global site tag with automatic user data collection – They are testing a new feature for the global site tag that can be configured to automatically collect user data. Users have seen and there has been chatter on social media mentioning the ‘Global Site Tag can now automatically collect the information that the user submits on the website just like email or telephone. This seems to provide the same result of Enhanced Conversions.’

According to the help document for the global site tag Google has provided, it works in unison with another piece of code, an event snippet or a phone snippet, to track your conversions. They also mention that you can use the global site tag to track your Google Ads conversions. When you create a website conversion action in the new Google Ads experience, you’ll see a global site tag instead of the previous conversion tracking tag.

Google Chrome Journeys Rolling Out – Last year October it was reported that Google was testing ‘Journeys’ in Chrome. Journeys will cluster all the pages you’ve visited related to your previous browsing history so you can easily view them without having to sift through your browsing history. Well now Chrome is rolling out Journeys on desktop browsers. Specifically, Journeys is rolling out to Chrome desktop on any OS in English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Turkish, Portuguese and Spanish.

So when you type a related word within your search bar in Chrome, you can click on ‘resume your research’ or visit the Chrome history journeys page. Which Chrome will show you a list of relevant sites you visited and you can also pick up where you left off. The search giant also mentions that Journeys will even take into account how much you have interacted with a site to put the most relevant information front and centre, while also bringing you helpful suggestions on related searches you may want to try next.

Bing Update

Microsoft Bing has expanded car & automobile search – Microsoft Bing has now expanded its search features to help you buy a car in this crazy market. Bing also lets you filter the results in numerous ways and a lot of this is powered off of the MSN Autos Marketplace. You can also search by specific brand and model, by type of automobile and much more. Here are some various examples provided by Bing, but they work if you search for yourself on Bing.com.
