Google business profile’s “edit ticket prices” feature added – Google has added new features for attraction and tour operators. This includes the ability to edit ticket prices directly in Google Business Profiles.
Google mentions that attraction owners can now edit their ticket prices directly on search and maps through their business profile. Furthermore, this functionality will soon be available for tour and activity operators as well. This can be accessed by searching for your business name in Google Search, clicking on Edit Profile and then selecting Admission Tickets. From there you can add or edit ticket prices.
For searchers, they can now compare ticket prices for venues directly in Google Search or Google Maps. It is nice to see more features for different types of businesses being added frequently to Google Business Profiles.
Google image metadata now supports image credits – Google now supports image credits for image metadata. Before, image credit information was only supported with IPTC photo metadata. The help document talks about image credit throughout the document. The previous version had no mention of image credit for this metadata type.
Now when you specify image metadata, Google Images can show more details about the image, such as who the creator is, how people can use an image, and credit information. CreditText is the name of person and/or organisation that is credited for the image when it’s published.
Google search rolls out new website name & favicon design – Google has officially rolled out the new website name and favicon design, along with the new sponsored ad label, in the mobile search results. Google has been testing this before but now it is official and live in English, French, Japanese, and German regions. The website name will show up at the top of the search result snippet, on the right of the new larger favicon, and above the URL of the search result snippet.
Google mentions that they added the website names to search results on mobile, so you can easily identify the website that’s associated with each result at a glance. Google has also updated the size and shape of the favicon that appears in Google Search, also with the goal to make it easier to see on the page.
The search giant has new site name structured data documentation that you can specify, this means that you can help control what Google shows for your website name. Google also mentions that it relies on a variety of sources to identify the site name for a search result. However, if you want to indicate your preferred site name, you can use structured data on your homepage to tell Google what the site name should be
